Outline:

There are many 2, 3, and 5 lever mortice locks out in the marketplace. The tools available to manipulate these locks look simple in design but provide an effective solution to pick locks. This course will also provide a solid platform for those wishing to learn more about the tools for more complex structured locking mechanisms.

The course will concentrate on the following tools: Souber WirePicks, Souber 2 & 3 Lever Picks, Souber 2in1 Overlifters, and Souber 114 Try-out keys. The course is practical with hands-on training. The course covers the most common 2, 3, and 5 lever locks currently available in the UK market.

The course will cover the following tools:

• Lever lock wires, Lever lock Jigglers, Over-lifters, and Try-out keys: will be used to manipulate 2, 3, and 5 lever locks. The course will provide useful tips and practical experience to reinforce the techniques covered.

Outline:

These types of locks present a challenge. However, with the correct tips & guidance, the barrier to successfully opening these locks will be lowered. The course is centered on the RB Medical 2in1 pick, the Souber 2in1 pick, the RB Medical curtain pick, and the StaddonChubb Pick.

The course will cover the following tools:

• 2-in-1 Mortice Picks: a tool that can be effectively used to manipulate 3 and 5 lever locks. The course will cover tool preparation, for specific lock types, and techniques for successful entry. Examples of locks covered: ERA 3 lever, Union 3 & 5 lever, Yale 5 lever and non-branded 3 & 5 lever locks.
• Curtain Lock Picks: used to manipulate 5 lever British Standard curtain locks. The course will cover the use of 2 curtain picks manufactured by RB Medical on the following locks: Chubb 114 & 115, ERA Profit, Invincible, Fortress, Union 5 Lever and other non-branded 5 lever curtain locks.
• Chubb 3G144 Lock Pick: for 144 levers and 114E levers mechanism. The course will cover the theory behind the development of the tool and how this is applied practically. The Staddon Chubb tool is engineered with precision and is a delicate tool and the rules of usage must be followed every time to avoid damage. The tool will allow you to successfully open these locks with a high degree of success, providing the lock is fully operational.
